OPENING GALA FILM: The Flood (Mabul)
Everything is complicated in Yoni’s life. He’s almost 13, gifted, but physically undeveloped and struggles daily to grow up before his threatening up-coming Bar Mitzvah. As if all this isn’t enough, only a week before the ceremony his autistic brother, Tomer returns home. Tomer, 17, has been hidden for years in a home that is now shutting down because of a lack of funding. This shakes not only Yoni’s life, but the unstable foundation of the entire family. Being the only real adult in his family — Yoni ends up coping alone with a brother, he hasn’t seen for ten years.
