Thanks to Y. Joel Wong, Ph.D. for sharing this on the DIV17DISCUSS mailing list:

ndiana University is hosting the 2011 Great Lakes Counseling Psychology Conference. Submission deadline is February 7, 2011. Here is the information and conference website.

The Counseling Psychology Program at Indiana University Bloomington is honored to host 24th annual Great Lakes Conference! The Great Lakes Conference, to be held in Bloomington, Indiana April 1-2, 2011, is proud to be the only regional conference in Counseling Psychology that has been continuously running since Division 17 of the American Psychological Association recommended regional conferences in 1987. We are also very pleased to welcome the President of the Society of Counseling Psychology, Dr. Tania Israel, as our keynote speaker.

This year’s theme is Progress in Science and Practice. We invite conference participants to submit proposals for papers or presentations that highlight topics or approaches that represent advancement or growth in the field. This can include work with diverse populations, or new and unique methods, theories, or approaches that make a positive contribution to Counseling Psychology.

The Great Lakes conference provides faculty and students in the field of Counseling Psychology with an opportunity to present their work and to interact with other emerging professionals in the field. Also invited are professionals and students in related areas, graduate and/or undergraduate. We hope that you will be able to attend the conference on Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd, 2011.

Two of my student groups would like to submit poster proposals for the 2011 conference. Will there be a link for electronic submissions or should they be sending paper proposals to someone? The deadline appears to be fast approaching. Thank you.
