Personal development: daily inspirations

Daily, we’ll find inspirational pics, quotes, jokes, etc. on AmAreWay.org This is done to support everyone who is interested in walking together our path towards a more holistic life, and especially people who made new year resolutions and are serious about respecting them.  From time to time, we’ll also post longer reflections about topics which are dear to us and can be useful along the way, like what makes the difference between short-time and lasting satisfaction, importance of role-models (and their limits), non duality, the nature of Being, happiness and pleasure, etc. Most of these more wordly posts will be developed into pages, for future reference.

Daily pictures and videos are selected from sites who are distributing them under a Creative Commons license, and we’ll credit the authors every time it is possible. Quotes will usually not be credited to any particular author, mainly for two reasons: first, what is said is more important than who said it;  second, attribution of quotes are in many cases extremely uncertain. Think, for example, about Albert Einstein: everyone put on his lips any kind of quotes, seems this leading scientist and thinker must have spent his life craking quotations… And this has illustrious precedents, think about Western philosopy which is called socratic but in reality was more post-platonic, made with a mix of what Socrate said, Plato added to it and translators spuriously enhanced.

If you have pictures, quotes, jokes, etc. that you want to share, we look forward to hearing from you.

I always feel that motivation comes as much from the outside as it comes from the inside. I can motivate myself by using imagery, self talk and visualization, but once in a while I like being motivated from the outside. For this reason I am looking for music that has an inspiring message and that speaks to my potential and my motivation. I found this video on youtube; it’s a song that inspires me and gives me hope when I’m down.
