Exploring Burma’s nonviolent revolution of the spirit: Activism Grounded In Liberated Buddhism, Meditation, Metta-in-Action and Defiant Comedy, Guided by Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi is a lecture which will be presented by Alan Clements at Banyen Books & Sound on Sat & Sun Nov. 6 & 7 and Sat & Sun Nov. 13 & 14.

Alan Clements, a former Buddhist monk in Burma, performing artist, and visionary author, will illuminate the nature of this remarkable spiritual/political leader – Aung San Suu Kyi – with whom he spent six months in clandestine conversationsVoice of Hope co-authoring The Voice of Hope, leading US President Jimmy Carter to say, “The Voice of Hope is a message that the world should hear.”

Clements will also discuss Suu Kyi’s call for a global revolution of the spirit – inner transformation expressed through a feminine-inspired vision of peaceful co-existence, merging timeless spiritual truths with nonviolent political leadership.
