Get a weekly-diary and title it “Counting my blessings”. Once per week, take about twenty minutes to think about what happened during the last seven days. Think about all the big and small positive things which you and the people around you made possible. Think about the blessings we have, like health, time with family and friends, love and affection, and also about an unexpected positive encounter, a phone call, a nice meal you had. Choose three of them, and write them in the diary.
At least once per month, or more if necessary, look at your diary. Think that each week had ups and downs, and still there are always reasons to be grateful for our blessings.
