Moringa Oleifera is a powerful source of bio-available nutrients. Moringa Oleifera contains high levels of Vitamin A (beta carotene), Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), Vitamin B7 (Biotin), Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Vitamin D (Cholecalciferol), Vitamin E (Tocopherol) and Vitamin K.
Many parts of the moringa are edible, including:
– The immature seed pods: called “drumsticks”, are prepared by parboiling, and cooked in a sauce until soft. The seed pods are particularly high in vitamin C.
– The leaves: the most nutritious part of the plant. Moringa Oleifera leaves are a significant source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, provitamin A as beta-carotene, magnesium and protein.
