Ayurveda recommends enhancing the digestive fire through a correct diet, proper physical exercise, internal herbal formulations, panchakarma (detoxification) and rasayana (rejuvenation) therapies. Metabolic disorders are due to Agni Vaishamya (improper digestion, metabolism and absorption). Agni Vaishamya occurs due to the disturbance of agni, the digestive fire. Causes that contribute to the vitiation of agni include improper diet and unhealthy daily routine and lifestyle. Vitiation of agni leads to the production of ama (toxic, morbid substance in the body), doshic imbalances, disturbance in the tissue metabolism, and depletion of ojas, tejas and/or prana. As conditions progress further, blockages in the individual channels of circulation (srotas) occur, leading to the development of various metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, thyroid disturbances.

AAPNA’s 7th Conference, Ayurveda & Metabolic Disorders, will focus on the ayurvedic approach to various metabolic disorders. The following areas will also be covered:
Obesity and body composition management
Metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease and type II diabetes
Women’s hormonal health and wellness
Gastrointestinal disorders and food sensitivities

Neurological support for mood and memory
Endocrinal Disorders include – Thyroid, Adrenal problems

BioHarmonizing became an Amazon best-seller! After the success of the eBook at its launch in December 2012, today the paper-back version became a best-selling Spiritual book, just behind “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: A Practical Guide to the Fulfillment of Your Dreams” by Chopra.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!

This is one of the best cook books I have seen! The first part of the book has useful information about nutrition, with plenty of appealing pictures and a fresh design. All the Vegan recipes in the book are healthy and nutritious. It offers a great choice of juices, smoothies, breakfast, sandwiches, soups, main courses, snacks and desserts.

CSK gives us recipes for all occasions: intimate dinners or large meals with friends and family. I especially liked the coconut and red lentil soup. How easy and nutritious! I can’t wait to make and try out more of these delicious dishes together with my wife! Ok, she is the one making most of the cooking, I help her with cutting and tasting 🙂

Thank you Kris for another awesome cookbook.

Dr. James P. Nicolai works with Dr. Andrew Weil, supervising the Integrative Wellness Program at Miraval. This, alone, was enough for me to be really interested in reading his “Integrative Wellness Rules”.

What I found really useful and inspiring in this book:
– the information is provided in a very accessible, but still accurate, way
– you can read the book at your own pace, because it is divided in short parts. Read as many, or as little, as you can on a specific day
– James provides very lively and profound messages. He can bring together spirituality and science, without getting stuck in any dogma

What you need to be aware of: after reading the book, you may decide to go to Miraval at once, to experience such an effective and client-centered approach to well being!

The ultimate treat for the ego: the deluxe spiritual enlightenment for the chosen few. If you are a seeker, what have you been seeking for? For how long? You read many spiritual books and learned techniques. Still, you did not find what you are searching for.

Why? Because.

There is nothing to find. You are like a thirsty person in front of the sea of knowledge.
You drink and drink that salty water! Which makes you thirstier for more.
You are not a seeker. Maybe you were seeking. Maybe you like to say you were seeking. But you are not a seeker. You are the field where the seeking unfolds.
